The Great Questions of Aging

How do we deal with the fact that we are getting older and what can we do to prepare for it in the middle years of our life? An important book for everyone who wants to stay young and happy on the inside, no matter how old they are.

At some point, we all have to deal with aging. A realistic view of ourselves can often help more with that than clinging to an image of eternal youth. In his book, psychoanalyst Wolfgang Schmidbauer shows strategies for maintaining a positive sense of self into old age. The best way to do this is to approach life playfully and to devote ourselves wholly to an activity: that’s when we feel neither young nor old but are in harmony with ourselves and our actions.
